Our school - Oficina da Capoeira

Mestre Ray founded Oficina da Capoeira on 14th December 1996, in the city of Belo Horizonte Brazil.  As well as sharing his life's passion for capoeira, Mestre Ray has also helped with many social projects.

Oficina da Capoeira has helped spread the cultural heritage of the art. The school has grown from strength to strength - it now has representatives in seven Brazilian states, and in over 15 other countries.

Oficina da Capoeira was first brought to the UK in 2006 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and is coordinated by Mestrando Primo, and assisted by Instrutor Lua. As well as the regular classes, Mestrando Primo and Instrutor Lua work hard to spread capoeira throughout the area, giving demonstrations, workshops and demos at events.

Now, with the supervision of Mestre Ray and Mestrando Primo, capoeira has come to Chichester in 2015.
